Basic Information:
Nitrendipine is used the treatment of mild to moderate
hypertension.

How it works
Action predominantly in the peripheral blood vessels causing
vasodilatation and reduction in blood pressure. Less effect on
coronary vessels. Duration of action longer than with
nifedipine. Both systolic and diastolic pressures are lowered.
Dosage
Start with 5-20mg once daily. May be increased upto daily max
of 40mg given in 1 or 2 doses. In liver disease: reduce dose
to 5-10mg daily.
