Basic Information:
Condylox is an FDA approved topical gel that treats genital
warts.
Information:
HOW TO USE: Make sure the affected area is dry
before applying Condylox. Take a Q-Tip and apply small amount
to the area. Do not exceed 0.5 grams in one day. Normally you
should take Condylox twice a day in 3-day cycles. Once a 3-day
cycle is finished, wait 4 days to begin another. If genital
warts do not clear within 4 weeks, consult with your doctor
about continuing treatment.
SIDE EFFECTS: Frequent side effects associated with
Condylox include local skin reactions such as burning,
redness, flaking, swelling, itching, and erosion. These side
effects are generally common and do not mandate discontinuance
of treatment.
OVERDOSE: If you take too much Condylox, you may
experience moderate to severe symptoms including: abnormally
fast breathing, blood in urine, mood swings, diarrhea, fever,
kidney failure, fatigue, nausea, respiratory failure, seizures
and vomiting. If you think you have apply too much of Condylox
gel to your skin, wash the area thoroughly with water and call
your doctor.
NOTES: Use Condylox on EXTERNAL GENITAL WARTS ONLY. The
FDA has not approved Condylox for treatment of internal
genital/anal disease such as intra vaginal, cervical, rectal,
urethral, or intra anal HPV.
DO NOT use Condylox gel with other topical treatments.
Uncircumcised males who apply Condylox Gel under the foreskin
should retract and wash the dry area daily. Failure to do so
can lead to scarring of the foreskin, which may require
circumcision.
If you have HIV, do not use Condylox unless you are under
direct supervision of a doctor.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature away from sunlight
and moisture. Do not store in the bathroom.
